30 September 2024 – For the second consecutive year, ACEN, the listed energy platform of the Ayala group, has been honored with 4 Golden Arrows by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) at the 2024 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards. This recognition underscores ACEN’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance.
ACEN was among the 111 publicly listed companies (PLCs) that received the coveted Golden Arrows from ICD. Of the 111 PLCs, ACEN was one of only 13 awardees of 4 Golden Arrows. The ICD evaluates companies on several key dimensions, including the protection and equitable treatment of shareholders, their relationships with various stakeholders, transparency and accountability through timely disclosures of material information, and the role of the board in guiding company strategy, monitoring management, and ensuring accountability to both the company and its shareholders.1 A company may earn 1 Golden Arrow up to 5 Golden Arrows depending on ACGS and Corporate Governance Scorecard scores.

Cezar Consing, ACEN chairman and Ayala Corporation president and CEO, accepted the award during the 2024 ACGS Recognition Night held on September 19 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.
