“We’re investing heavily in our own transmission lines to connect our plants to NGCP’s trunk grid. But ultimately, everyone in the Philippines needs robust transmission to align with the government’s renewable energy vision and our generation goals,” said our CFO and chief strategy officer, Jonathan Back, in a recent interview with Asian Power.
Jonathan is optimistic that the Philippines’ energy targets are within reach, provided there’s efficient transmission access, a supportive regulatory environment, competitive pricing and a strong political will.
